Tick docs
Tick is a Forge-native time tracking app for Jira Cloud. Log hours in one click, generate weekly timesheets, and run audit, cost and delivery analytics — all inside your Jira tenant.
Quickstart — 5 minutes
STEP 1
Install from Marketplace
Find Tick on the Atlassian Marketplace and click "Try it free". No external accounts needed.
STEP 2
Open any Jira issue
Tick adds a panel to every issue. Click "Start timer" or log time manually in the sidebar.
STEP 3
Go to Tick dashboard
Access the Tick app from the Jira left sidebar. Your team's time is already there.
Effort tracking
One-click timers
Start a timer on any issue from the Jira issue view. Stop it when done — Tick creates the worklog automatically.
Manual worklog entry
Log time manually with custom date, duration and description. Supports Jira's native format (1h 30m, 2h, etc.).
Weekly timesheets
View time logged per user, per project, per sprint or per week. Export to CSV for billing or reporting.
Audit & integrity
Tick's audit module scores worklog quality and flags suspicious patterns.
- Description compliance scoring — checks that worklogs have meaningful descriptions.
- Ghost Hours Detection — flags worklogs logged retroactively in bulk.
- Weekend activity flags — highlights unusual weekend logging patterns.
- Inconsistent user pattern alerts — surfaces users whose behavior deviates from their own history.
Cost efficiency
- h/SP (hours per story point) — tracks historical efficiency per team or squad.
- Estimation Coverage — percentage of issues with both estimates and actual time.
- Cost per issue — computes cost when hourly rates are configured.
- Estimation drift alerts — notifies when actual vs. estimated hours diverge.
Strategic predictions
- Throughput trends — weekly issues completed vs. hours logged.
- Capacity utilization — logged hours vs. expected capacity per user.
- Squad benchmarking — compare efficiency across teams.
- Delivery forecast — extrapolates throughput to estimate completion risk.
Permissions
Tick respects all existing Jira project permissions. Users can only see worklogs for projects they already have access to in Jira. No additional configuration required.
